Allegan, Michigan, in the United States, is where Perrigo was founded and remains home to our Global Headquarters. We have over 3,000 employees and over 1.9 million square feet of state–of-the-art facilities. In addition to high-volume manufacturing and packaging operations, Allegan is one of the main locations for over-the-counter pharmaceutical research and development. It is also home to our corporate functions such as Finance, Information Technology and Services, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Commercial Strategy, Logistics, Regulatory Affairs and Quality.
Our Holland, Michigan location houses pharmaceutical and nutrition manufacturing and packaging. Perrigo has a research and development center located in Piscataway, New Jersey, where we drive the development of new solid dose pharmaceutical products. In the Bronx, New York, facilities, the company focuses on the manufacturing and packaging of over-the-counter and prescription topical products.
Perrigo’s nutrition business is supported by Business Development, Commercial Strategy, Supply Chain, R&D and Regulatory functions that operate at our Gordonsville, Virginia, location. Lake Worth Florida supports our infant nutrition business with the manufacturing and packaging of pediatric electrolyte products. While our Georgia, Vermont and Covington, Ohio locations focus on the manufacturing and packaging of infant formula and nutrition products. The Greenville, South Carolina location is home to our vitamin and supplement manufacturing and packaging operations. Our Minneapolis, Minnesota location produces generic Rx products.
